Benefits for Your Firm with CosmoLexPay

With CosmoLexPay, in addition to direct debits (ACH or PAD) from a client’s checking or saving account, you have more ways to get paid, and faster with less manual work, and with more flexibility for your clients.

Credit Card Surcharging with CosmoLexPay

With CosmoLexPay, a surcharge is automatically applied to credit card payments, letting you pass card processing costs to your clients without changing your fee structure.

Surcharging is implemented in line with card network compliance requirements, and is designed to be transparent to both you and your clients:

  • The surcharge is listed as its own line item on the receipt, separate from the invoice amount, so it’s always clear what the client is being charged and why.

  • A surcharge disclosure is shown in the checkout flow before the client pays, and clients can choose ACH or another non-surcharged payment method instead of a surcharged card payment.

Note:There is no surcharging on debit cards or ACH payments. Firms will pay processing fees for debit cards and ACH payments.

Buy Now Pay Later

Clients can split a payment into installments through Affirm, a buy now, pay later (BNPL) option, shown as a payment method at checkout alongside card, ACH, and digital wallets.

Note:Your firm is paid 100% of the invoice amount immediately when a client chooses Affirm. The client’s installment payments are made directly to Affirm, not to your firm — Affirm assumes the repayment risk.

Accept Digital Wallet Payments

Clients can pay using Apple Pay and Google Pay directly from the checkout screen, in addition to entering a card manually. Digital wallets let clients pay in a tap using the card already saved on their phone, which speeds up checkout and reduces typos in card entry.

Get Paid Faster with Next-Day Payouts

Payouts to your connected account are now processed on an automated T+1 (Next Day) schedule. Once a payment settles, funds are deposited to your bank account the next business day — no manual payout requests, and no waiting on a slower default schedule.

This is enabled automatically for connected accounts; there’s nothing you need to configure.

Save Payment Methods for Future Use

At checkout, clients can now opt to save their payment method for future payments. Once saved, returning clients can pay with a couple of clicks instead of re-entering their card or bank details each time — making repeat payments, like recurring invoices or payment plans, faster for everyone.
