NextGen Features

Users enjoying the fully customizable experience of NextGen can now also use the following in their NextGen Beta application:

  • Timer: Seamlessly keep track of time, while working on billable tasks for client matter or administrative work.
  • Timesheet: Keep track of multiple timers while monitoring time for various activities, and accounting for interruptions.
  • Matter Details: Edit any information entered for a Matter from the Matter’s summary section.
  • Transaction Levy/Trust Admin Fee: Our Canadian users can add, edit, delete, and pay Transaction Levies or TAFs from NextGen.
  • Documents: Use the application’s free document storage and upload documents, audio files, video files, or integrate with an external document storage solution.


  • User will no longer receive an error message when deleting a contact which is not associated with a matter.
  • Once you have imported expenses using the custom import feature, the Import button will be disabled to avoid duplicate import.
  • User will no longer receive an undefined error message while entering trust deposit or withdrawal transactions.
  • User will no longer get an error message while viewing or downloading Client-Matter Ledger report for a specific matter using All or specific include entries options from Reports > Matter Activities > Client-Matter Ledger.
