You can view and pay invoices from the client portal if your lawyer uses the portal feature.
Download an Invoice
To download an invoice from the client portal:
- Log into the client portal.
- From the left navigation panel, click Invoice.
- On the Invoices screen, single-click the invoice.
- From the toolbar, click Download.
The system downloads the invoice to your default download location.
View an Invoice
To view an invoice in the client portal:
- Log into the client portal.
- From the left navigation panel, click Invoice.
- On the Invoices screen, single-click the invoice.
- From the toolbar, click View.
The Document Viewer opens, displaying your invoice.
Pay an Invoice
To pay an invoice:
- Log into the client portal.
- From the left navigation panel, click Invoice.
- On the Invoices screen, single-click an unpaid invoice to highlight.
- From the toolbar, click Pay Invoice. This option will only appear if the firm has integrated Cosmolex with a payment processing app.
The Credit Card Processing screen opens. Note that if the firm uses CosmoLexPay, there will also be an option to enter eCheck information. - Enter your credit card/bank account information and billing information.
- In the lower right corner, click Charge.
The system processes the payment and updates the invoice status from Unpaid to Paid.
