Manage Documents in the Client Portal

You and your attorney can share and exchange documents relative to your case in the client portal. 

If your attorney has enabled the client portal, they may share tasks for your viewing only. 

Download Documents

To download documents:

  1. Log into the client portal.  
  2. From the left navigation panel, click Documents.
    The Documents screen opens, display a toolbar atop the screen.
  3. Click the document you want to download to highlight it. To highlight multiple documents, press and hold your Ctrl key and single-click each document.
  4. From the toolbar, click Download.
    The system downloads the documents to your designated location. 

Upload Documents

To upload documents:

  1. Log into the client portal.  
  2. From the left navigation panel, click Documents.
    The Documents screen opens, display a toolbar atop the screen.
  3. From the toolbar, click Upload.
    The Upload file screen opens.
  4. Click Select Files…
  5. A browser window opens.
  6. Highlight the document you want to download. To highlight multiple documents, press and hold your Ctrl key and single-click each document.
  7. Click Open.
    The file name displays in the Choose a File field. If you have chosen multiple files, the window lists the file names.
  8. In the lower right corner, click Upload.
    The system uploads the documents to the Documents screen. 

View a PDF

FYI

To view documents in non-PDF formats, you must first download them.

To view a PDF:

  1. Log into the client portal.  
  2. From the left navigation panel, click Documents.
    The Documents screen opens, display a toolbar atop the screen.
  3. Highlight the PDF you want to download.
  4. From the toolbar, click View.
    The Document Viewer screen opens, displaying the PDF.
  5. When you have finished reviewing the file, click Close.
