Use the Outlook Add-In to Remove an Email Tag

You can use the Outlook Add-In to remove an email tag provided the email is not linked to a timecard.

Remove an Email Tag in Outlook 365 (Desktop)

Important

If the email is linked to a timecard, you must unlink it from the timecard prior to removing the tag. To do so, select the email in CosmoLex, and then from the toolbar, click Time > Unlink Timecard.

To remove an Outlook 365(desktop) email tag:

  1. Single-click the email to select it.
  2. In the upper right corner of the app, click the CosmoLex icon.

On the far right of your screen, the CosmoLex Outlook Add-in panel opens, displaying the tag.

  1. Click Remove.

  2. Check the box to delete the email in CosmoLex, if desired.
  3. Click Remove.
    A submission confirmation displays.

Remove an Email Tag in Outlook 365 (Web)

Important

If the email is linked to a timecard, you must unlink it from the timecard prior to removing the tag. To do so, select the email in CosmoLex, and then from the toolbar, click Time > Unlink Timecard.

To remove an email tag in Outlook 365:

  1. Single-click the email to select it.
  2. To the far right of the email, click the three dots.

  3. From the drop-down, click CosmoLex.
    The CosmoLex Outlook Add-in panel opens, displaying the email’s tag information.

  4. Click Remove.
    Outlook prompts you to confirm your removal.

  5. If you do not want to remove the email from CosmoLex, uncheck the Also delete email in CosmoLex box.
  6. Click Remove.
    The matter tag panel displays.
