Enhancements

Transaction Type and Method Refactoring

To streamline your data entry workflow, we have made changes to the transaction ‘Type’ and ‘Method’.

For Deposits (Operating & Trust banks)

  • Type field options for deposit transactions are simplified to ‘Deposit’ and ‘Adjustment In’, and will default to ‘Deposit’. You can select ‘Adjustment In’ from the drop-down. 
  • Method is a required field and the list of methods available has expanded to include the following:

  • Method is a required field, and the list of methods available has expanded to include the following:

Credit Card Banks

  • The ‘Type’ field defaults to ‘Payment’ or ‘Charge’, depending on your selection.
  • The ‘Method’ field lists the following:

Alert

For consistency, any existing transactions that were assigned a discontinued ‘Type’ have been automatically assigned to the appropriate method.

Other Notes:

  • Method is now required, but a setting has been added to control this under Setup > Firm Settings > Firm Preferences.
  • In-app filters have been updated to reflect the new ‘Type’ and ‘Method’ options.
  • Transaction reporting will now include method.

 

Additional Email Search Filters

 ‘From’ has been added as a search filter under Activities > Emails and Matter Details > Emails.

Fixes

  • When adding a new payee, user will now be able to add a phone number with a hyphen (-) in it.
  • All forwarded emails are now visible in the CosmoLex account. 
  • Enhanced the performance for saving trust transactions.
