6.1.3 Released! (September 24, 2019)

In This Article…

Release Date: Tuesday, September 24, 2019

We are very excited to announce our 6.1.3 release!

New Enhancements

Copy Journal Entries

There are times when you may need to reuse the same journal entries (Ex: routine payroll). Instead of having to re-enter the same information each time, to save some time, we have now added a ‘Copy’ function.

Under Accounting > Journal Entries, you can highlight an existing journal entry, and click the ‘Copy’ button from the toolbar menu. This will copy all of the detailed information, but require the completion of a new entry number and date. The date will default to today’s date.

You will then see a new journal entry listed which you can still view/edit by selecting the new entry and clicking edit

Ability to Print Emails

When viewing individual email details, you will now see a print button in the top toolbar. Clicking this will download a pdf copy of the email header and text which you can save, or print

Invoice Change/Write-Offs Journal Report: Added a filter for Area of Law

The Area of Law list can be customized under Setup > List items. They can then be assigned to each matter within the Add/Edit matter window

You will also notice a new option in this filter called ‘unspecified’. This will report on any item not linked to an Area of Law

Invoice Journal Report: Added new summary info blocks

Previously, this report listed the breakdown per invoice with an overall total for the time frame selected. Now each time you run the report, you will also get a subgrouping and total by client matter, matter owner and area of law.

Long Date Format Added

In CosmoLex, each user can define their date format. We added the additional format of Long-Month, Date, Year (January 31, 2019)

This can be set under Setup > My Settings > User
